The 2019 Nedbank Tour de Tuli is an extraordinary multi-stage African mountain bike experience of riding in remote Africa, through three countries, namely Botswana, Zimbabwe and South Africa, whilst raising funds for Children in the Wilderness. This tour, 4 days of sublime mountain bike riding and 5 nights under the African stars, allows participants the opportunity to experience wonderful scenery, cultural interactions and incredible wildlife sightings.
Children in the Wilderness (CITW), organiser and beneficiary of the annual Nedbank Tour de Tuli multi-stage mountain bike event, is proud to be going into its 15th year. In 2018, the tour raised R1,8 million for the Children in the Wilderness programme, helping it sustain its projects across Africa, and continue to positively influence the lives of its many young participants living in the rural areas around Wilderness Safaris’ areas of operation.
“The 2018 Tour not only delivered plenty of adventure, camaraderie and a total immersion in some of Africa’s most pristine and spectacular wilderness areas, but further entrenched the Tour as one of Africa’s premier mountain biking events. The riders felt privileged to cycle in these pristine wildlife areas whilst raising funds for CITW at the same time. We are proud that our efforts for the Tour ultimately translate into making such an important difference to environmental education – and more – in our rural communities”, said Tour Director, Nicola Harris.
EPT Recovery is the official proud sponsor of the recovery experience for the riders of the 2019 fundraising tour. As a company, we have pledged our support to this noteworthy cause by sending 16 sports massage therapists to accompany the tour. Each therapist has graciously offered their time pro-bono and their expertise to the tour at no cost, forfeiting their daily rate in aid of overall expensive cutting for maximum fundraising efforts.
EPT Recovery has pledged their support to get the riders across the finish line admits hard terrain conditions for the benefit of this cause. As a team, we have taken it upon ourselves to raise the necessary funds for the therapists’ travel costs and a contribution towards the overall fundraising efforts. Any donation is most welcomed and we thank you in advance for your kind consideration of this request.
